the old owl

Everyone goes though it. You hit that certain age when you start looking back on all the things you have, and sometimes haven't, done in the past years. Sometimes you giggle and blush (like that one time you took a sip of that random guys drink at the bowling ally.. but hey he was super cute, and you were young and knew nothing about boys so its no big deal, right?) And other times you just want to kick yourself in the ass for finally saying the most dreaded words in the English language (and possibly every other language known to man out there) "You were right Mom and Dad..." YIKES! Who knew you would grow up to be a, somewhat, responsible adult and actually admit to your mistakes?

As I look back at the past four and a half years of my undergraduate life, I can finally see how much change occurs in that time. And yet another phrase you hear about every second of your collegiate career "Enjoy it, because it will be over before you know it," comes to mind. Seriously kids, soak in every sleep deprived, alcohol intoxicating, walk of shaming, and pizza binge moment you can because doing that while you have a full time job isn't exactly fun, or acceptable after the age of 23..

But not to worry, your social life won't stop the second you shake the sweaty hand of the Dean on graduation day. Being out of college opens up so many new doors of opportunities. New people that you wouldn't otherwise have met in the corner of some beer filled frat house basement. And for my final cliche old lady quote, "It's the start of a new chapter in your life." Embrace it with open arms, like you do a double barrel of wine. Which reminds me, wine will be your best friend now. Don't try to fight it, it will happen, and you will love it.

first day of summer.

Lunch in Montclair with one of my favorite people and bargain shopping, is a great way to start my summer. The hat was one of my finds.

Tongue tied at work

Now, I'm not going to lie and say I don't take selfies a work, because I do, a lot. It's one of the side effects of working in a small boutique, alone, for seven hours. But I love my job, and the many people I encounter during my time spent here at Statements. Which is located in Madison  nj for those of you wondering, you should check it out ;)

ATP production with clear sky's

Tomorrow marks the start of my finals week and I have just about had enough with everything to do with school. The only thing that reduces my stress is music and a beautiful day, spent with my loving family. So I took a break from my nutrition study guide, and took a step outside to my front porch to enjoy the beautiful weather. Imagine dragons and Mumford and sons blasting from my phone, with the distant sounds of my neighbors landscaping is keeping my nerves at bay, for now.

Spotlight

A few weeks ago, I was interviewed by College Fashionista Intern and sorority sister Ariel Danser. It was a great experience and loved sharing what I adore about fashion. Check it out!
